Dr.Bronner's ALL-ONE!

Product review by Lisa VanWilliams
They have over 150 years and 5 generations of soap makers in their family. Emmual Bronner brought his secret old-world soap formula over from Germany in 1948. His parents were killed in the Holocaust and always promoted a belief in the goodness and unity of humanity, and Emmual continued this legacy on through his company. Emmual passed away in 1997, but the family continues with the companies mission.

Dr.Bronner's offers a full line of USDA certified organic personal care products. They also create FAIR TRADE projects across the world to ensure fair and just treatment of workers, farmers, and ethical sourcing. They are a socially responsible company because they devote profits to worthwhile causes and charities worldwide.

Some major causes they focus on include:

  • Organic integrity in personal care
  • Promotion of authentic Fair Trade
  • Re-commercialization of industrial hemp in the U.S.
  • Labeling genetically engineered foods (those containing GMO's)
  • Animal rights and protection

They sent us some samples to check out. The 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure-Castile soaps smells like the holidays packed into a bottle. It's like I rubbed candy cane everywhere, but no stickiness! The Organic Lip Balm glides on smoothly and leaves the lips feeling moisturized without any scent. The Lavender Coconut Organic Hair Creme is not overpowering and it calms hair to creates a shine without being overly heavy. Lastly, the Orange Lavender Hand & Body lotion is soothing and moisturizing without being overly greasy. It think it has a light Patchouli aroma to it, but it fades out once it sinks in.
